Highlights:
Penn St. (3 seed, #11) jumps ahead of Auburn (3 seed, #12) and West Virginia (4 seed, #13) after the latter teams lost over the weekend.
Creighton (4 seed, #15) jumps onto the 4 line after a big home win over Depaul (NR) coupled with Butler (5 seed, #20) and Michigan St. (6 seed, #21) losses.
Shortly after we declared Houston (7 seed, #26) firmly on the 6 line, it suffered an overtime loss to SMU (NR), dropping it down a seed line. With LSU (7 seed, #27) also losing and Ohio St. (6 seed, #24) handling Purdue (10 seed, #37), Ohio St. jumps onto the 6 line with Houston and LSU as 7s.
We had a seed line jump for Michigan (7 seed, #25) after its impressive domination against Indiana (Last Four Play In, #48), whose resume we’ve questioned and analyzed here and here and who sits now as the last at-large team in the field.
By virtue of an impressive win at Butler, Georgetown (Last Four Play In, #47) makes its way into the bracket supplanting Arkansas (First Four Out, #70), who lost at home to Mississippi St. (Next Eight Out, #73).
East Tennessee St. (11 seed, #41) is still shown as the SoCon auto-qualifier even though Furman (NR) maintains a tiebreaker as of this moment. This will find some resolution on Wednesday 2/19 as the Bucs host the Paladins.
