Today’s Bracketology for February 24, 2021
Notes:
- It was a good night for the Bubble teams as Michigan St beat Illinois, Georgia Tech beat Virginia Tech, Ole Miss knocked off Missouri, Richmond held serve against UMass, and UConn handled Georgetown. Elsewhere, VCU also picked up an important victory over Saint Louis, all but dashing the Billikens’ hopes of an at large bid.
- In addition to Missouri’s and Virginia Tech’s losses, LSU fell to Georgia and Oklahoma suffered a Quad 3 defeat at the hands of Kansas St.
- Louisville, Florida, West Virginia, Baylor, and Villanova all notched victories.
- Game of the night was in Austin where the Big 12 battle between Kansas and Texas needed overtime and the Longhorns completed the season sweep over the Jayhawks.
Bracket Updates:
- Texas keeps a firm hold on the 4-seed line, jumping to the front of the seed line at #13 overall. Kansas moves up to the 4-seed line as well.
- Oklahoma’s loss dropped it from the 3-seed line to the 5-seed line in today’s bracket, and Virginia Tech and Missouri dropped to the 9-seed line based on their losses.
- We have one new team in today’s field, where Georgia Tech joins the last four in play in round supplanting Minnesota, which returns to the Bubble.
